I hope you're having a great time in NYC! I absolutely love visiting the City, so many amazing things to see. If I might suggest, visiting Ground Zero and the new Freedom Tower that is still under construction. I know you may not be from our little corner of the world, but it is the single most moving and emotional place I've ever visited. I cried for a good 15 minutes as I peered over the edge of the fence and down at the two craters that were once the basements for Tower 1 and Tower 2.
Also, the Statue of Liberty is always a fun visit! But watch out for the damn BIRDS! They poop on everything...including me...Ellis Island is another great place to visit. Also of course the Empire State Building, and the Museum of Natural History is pretty cool too! The Bronx Zoo is another great place, lots of memories from there! And of course just wondering the city, taking in the sights. It's sometimes the little things that get missed, like some of the narrow side streets that just goes to show how old the city truly is. One of my fondest memories from my last visit was discovering that many of the old buildings in the city have old Brass Fire Department connections for the old Sprinkler systems, something not produced since the early 1900's. The history of that city is so rich and amazing, just one week is not nearly enough time to take it all in!
Enjoy your stay, and I hope to bump into you at the Con!
