I'm gonna post all my previous folios, so you can see what you can expect from the patreon project of mine. If you like my art and have a few bucks to throw at me please visit the page. Thank you!

Quest for Harmony is an MLP:FiM inspired fantasy world / story, Siden and I are building up for a serious project, a comic series. We choose different names for obvious reasons, trying to be close to their personalities.

She looks good!  Dangerous, but good.

A few people have made comments about her attire.  When I first saw this, I actually thought she was wearing soft leather leggins, not unlike the Native Americans from the Northeast used to wear.  I guess the color tones on her legs and midriff didn't say "flesh" to me.  A leather body stocking won't offer much protection during combat either, but it is effective against the weather, won't hinder her during combat, and won't reduce her to instant cheesecake.  It might make some imaginations run amok, though...

But leather leggins or a skimpy fur bikini, I'm giving her a wide berth.  That war axe looks nasty.

She's a barbarian.

Then it would depend on the temperature.  Leather leggins and fur bikinis are both common barbarian attire.

Interesting, the darker eyes give off less of a soul in this piece that compliments the clothing style.

Dang, that, er... 'Armour', won't do much good for protection. PFFT.

Either way, the art is great!

Of course; but from a logical point of view it still doesn't offer any protection when so much skin is showing. uvu;;

Imagine her having a full fur coat or something. That slows you down. The best way to fight hand-to-hand is bare naked. Or take a spellcaster for example. They have clothes and robes on, they won't stop an arrow or a shordslash (neither heavy armor btw). Protection is needed when you are in a war, in an army and going against other armored foes. An adventurer will never wear armor, it's heavy to move in and very uncomfortable wearing it for a long time, and getting it off and on again and again takes a lot of time. And there's the rust and other things, like they cannot swim, what kind of adventurer is that? :)

In some ways you're right, but in the long run something that offers no protection if you know you're going to have to fight hand-to-hand combat with no long range attacks would just be... irresponsible. There's definitely more light weight metals these days; at the very least, thick leather could help stop severe wounds from getting worse if you were attacked by an animal.

Spell casters are a different story altogether because they have the ability to stay away from close combat while potentially having shield spells. If you're relying on your own body to fight, you need to have some way of protecting it.

Different strokes, different folks. Many of the most fearsome and deadliest warriors in history were nearly naked- just ask the Brits what they thought of the Zulus.

That may be true, but it still doesn't change the fact that it still leaves you vulnerable...

I dunno, man. I'm just tired of seeing women in glorified bikinis instead of actual armour. I mean, if someone drew a humanised Shining Armour in metal speedos, the artist would probably get some butthurt guys complaining about how it isn't real armour pfft.

I like the art, don't get me wrong... It's beautifully done, but I prefer to see women in actual armour, you know? And not the kind that shows off their tits with curved armour, either... That could kill a girl if she fell on her chest. Dang.

When you get that kinda thing shoved in your face whenever someone tries to draw a woman in 'armour' (especially in video games, dang), you just... get a little sick of it, as a woman myself, I mean. //Shrugs

YEAH...

That's true, but I guess that's simply a reflection of the demographics in the entertainment industry. Still being predominately male, I'm afraid such ridiculous designs are to remain until more girls play and design games.
